Project Write Now (PWN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit transforming individuals, organizations and communities through writing. In addition to fee-based classes and services, they provide community outreach programs geared toward helping underserved youth and adults develop the writing and communication skills needed to achieve academic/professional success, resilience and professional growth.
2021 marks 5 years Project Write Now and Shore House have collaborated together. There is a deep mutual respect and friendship between Lisa Hartsgrove, PWN Program Coordinator, and the members she works with. Each week members gather together via Zoom to spend an hour not only writing, but building their self esteem and confidence. Writing improves their vocabulary, expands their horizon and gives words to their voice. We are forever grateful for this collaboration.
Here is what member Fran has to say about her experience:
“Project Write Now sparked the writer in me that I didn’t know was there. It also helped me to evolve into a teller of stories and poems. The writings reflect my life and what I care about. It is a wonderful and creative time. I enjoy the time and support very much. Thanks Lisa!”
