On March 9, Shore House held its annual “The Art of Recovery” event at The Bungalow Hotel in Long Branch featuring the artwork of Shore House members plus many other local artists, curated by Jon Bagnato. The event was held in conjunction with Monmouth Arts and Project Write Now. The Shore House mission is to empower and restore hope, independence and self-worth for people living with a mental illness by providing access to social, education and employment opportunities, and is the only accredited Club House in New Jersey. Shore House is not a treatment program or mental health service, but rather a place where members can learn new skills, develop new relationships and explore new opportunities. Many Shore House members came together with executive director Rich Ambrosino, right.
